Summary

Founded in 1999, Esurance was one of the first insurance companies to sell insurance online. Esurance's goal was to create a site where consumers could buy auto insurance online. Thereby, allowing consumers to buy insurance without having to speak to an agent and buy more quickly. Moreover, it provided online access to one's policy, something we take for granted today. Esurance tends to offer competitively priced auto insurance and will often cover individuals that other carriers won't.
